3. Order and registration
=====================================
If you download the DEMO version, you can only backup 30 minutes of the DVD Movie. To backup the whole DVD Movie, you must order DVD-Cloner, then register it online.

4. Standard operating procedure
================================
If you want to back up your own legal DVD Movies, please refer to the procedures below:
(1.) Put the DVD Movie into the DVD DRIVE
(2.) Put your blank DVD-R/RWú¿DVD+R/RWú¼DVD-RAMú⌐into your DVD BURNER.
(3.) Launch DVD-cloner. DVD-cloner can recognize the size, name and other basic information about the DVD Movie automatically, it will indicate how many DVD+/-R(W) discs are needed.
(4.) If you want to copy a DVD-9 movie to a single DVD-5 disc, please click BEGIN to start backing up your DVD Movie.About 1 hour later, the BACKUP will be complete.
(5.) If you want to split a DVD-9 movie to 2 DVD-5 discs, please click SETUP and select "split discs" option,then click BEGIN to start backing up your DVD Movie. About 1 hour later, the BACKUP will be complete.
(6.) If you want to set other options, please refer to the instructions below.

5. Explanation of SETUP parameters
===========================
Working dir - The temp directory where DVD-cloner is located. DVD-cloner puts the temporary files converted from the DVD Movies into the temp directory on your hard drive. There must be at least 5GB free on the partition the temp directory is located.
Language - Choose one from the 8 different languages we offer.
Shutdown when finished - This gives you the option to shut down the computer automatically. when selected, it will shut down the computer automatically after the back up is complete.
Clone mode:Split discs - Copy the DVD Movie to DVD+/-R(w) discs. A DVD-9 movie will need 2 DVD-5 discs.
Fit on 1 disc - Copy the a DVD-9 movie to a single DVD-5 disc.
Movie only - If you choose it, the MENU and Extras of the DVD Movie will not be copied.
Keep Menu - Only availble when "Movie only" unchecked,If you choose it, the MENU will not be copied.

6. Special Notice for ASPI
==========================
So far, DVD-cloner only supports aspi v4.60.
ASPI (advanced SCSI programming interface) is a layer defined and maintained by Adaptec. It was originally designed for SCSI devices, but it now supports SCSI and IDE devices also, which is the reason why Win 95 and Win 98 is packaged with it. ASPI consists of 3 files: WINASPI.DLL, WNASPI32.DLL,and APIX.VXD. But sometimes the ASPI layer could be erased or corrupted due to installation of other software or various IDE/SCSI device drivers. If the ASPI layer is erased by some incompatible file, the path to IDE/SCSI DVD-ROM will not exist any more. So in the same region, the identifying process together with the protection on the DVD will always fail. In this case, according to the natural condition about the incompatible drives, DVD-cloner will give you different error messages.
This is not the problems of DVD-cloner itself. If you have such a problem, there are two solutions:
Solution 1:
Download ASPI32.EXE from Adaptec to update your ASPI file to ASPIv4.60.

Solution 2:
Recover the original Win95/98 ASPI layer, decompress Win95/98 ASPI from the files below in Win95/98 CAB folder,then copy them to the directlry followed:
WNASPI32.DLL -> <WINDIR>\SYSTEM
WINASPI.DLl -> <WINDIR>\SYSTEM
APIX.VXD -> <WINDIR>\SYSTEM\IOSUBSYS
ASPI2HLP.SYS -> <WINDIR>
<WINDIR> stands for the Win95/98 directory stayed.
Click " Start" and type "Regedit", then click "OK" to start the Registry Editor, press [Ctrl+F], type "ASPIENUM", click "Find Next" and wait until the search finishes. At last press [Delete] and answer " yes" to delete all the "ASPIENUM" highlighted.
